Abstract: During the fifty years that Japan occupied Taiwan,every nationality suffered under brutal Japanese colonial rule.The Japanese resorted to military suppression,economic exploitation and educational enslavement.Japanese rule evoked the strong opposition of all the people of Taiwan,including the national minorities.In the struggle against colonial rule,the minority nationalities and Han nationality fought side by side ,making a great contribution to the emancipation of the Chinese nation.
