Abstract: Historians have devoted a great deal of research to Kang Youwei’s memorials to Emperor Guangxu .After thorough textual research,the author of this paper believes that the sixth and seventh memorials which Kang Youwei sent had been revised before they were presented to Empress Dowager Ci Xi on March 31.1898,while the fifth memorial was submitted to Emperor Guangxu by way of the central government.
