Abstract: Ma Jianzhong was one of a few early modern reform thinkers and diplomats in China.His diplomatic thought had substantial contest and ricth  insight.It mainly comprised three aspects:foreign policy，diplomatic tactics and the idea of diplomatic talent.It  was the core of  Ma Jianzhong’s diplomatic thought to reform China in Light of the times. Ma Jianzhong occupied an important place in the history of the diplomatic thought of modern China.
